When we were initially starting out, we were looking at should we do everything with one provider or should we have multiple providers?
Shawn Prutsman, Windermere
The approach that we took is we went from a centralized vendor to the hub and spoke model.

And as we went through that process, the one thing that stuck out that we had a problem with into our current technology at the time was our CRM system, and so we felt like that had to be the core component of where we started.

When a lot of people come and start thinking about a technology change, they typically have two things in mind. I’m going to either. Take what I have entirely, throw it away and replace it with an equally large suite of technology. Or I gonna take what I have, throw it all out and replace it with a bunch of pieces.
And it turns out, in most cases, there’s actually a third path that the one windier took, which is a lot more effective, which is to say, maybe I should just keep the parts of what I already have and use those and fill in the pieces around that aren’t working. And it turns out there’s a bunch of advantages.
Of that, that are really important. But you think about an entire switchover. Every system has warts and in some cases it’s just dropping Peter to pay Paul. You’re actually, you’re switching to something you don’t know, and you don’t yet know what you don’t know about another system.
But if you’re keeping pieces of the one that you have, you know, what is working and what has been working, and so that was part of the wind deme process here.

In six months, we’ve got 75% connected already.

And I’d probably say 30 to 40% are actually actively engaged through sessions logging through.
